The programme consists of compulsory modules which cover sports injury; lower limb; upper limb; head, neck and spine; advanced sports injury, exercise physiology, health and physical activity and research methods. You can choose one option from rehabilitation of sports injuries or team and event medicine. The programme focuses on the prevention and treatment of sports injuries in particular.

We welcome applications from prospective students who hold a primary medical or allied health sciences degree e.g. medicine, physiotherapy, sports science. Applicants should have a minimum of one year post-graduation clinical experience relating to their primary degree. This MSc is designed to give clinicians a deeper understanding of sports medicine, sports injuries and exercise medicine.

Experience of global health issues including at least one year’s experience in a resource-limited context; the one year’s experience may include all work related to global health including work with government and non-governmental organisations. The first term will consist of topics on research methods, an overview of some major global health challenges, and topics related to the research and practice of global health.
